ADR compliance audit

Under ADR 1.8.1 the authorities may check compliance at any time and in any place — on the road and at your site, security measures included. We walk through your operation first — remotely, through a structured form and photos, against the same checklist the law itself describes.

What we check

ADR 1.8.3.3 lists the practices a safety adviser must monitor — so the audit checklist is written in the law itself. We go through every area against your actual operation.

Identification of the goods

Procedures that keep every carried dangerous good correctly identified and classified.

Vehicles and their purchase

Whether special ADR requirements are taken into account when means of transport are purchased.

Equipment checks

The equipment used for carriage, packing, filling, loading and unloading — checked and in order.

Training and its records

Staff trained for their duties under Chapter 1.3, refreshed on rule changes — with records kept.

Emergency procedures

Proper urgent procedures in place for any accident or incident during carriage, packing or loading.

Employee instructions

Whether the employees actually hold detailed working procedures and instructions for their part of the job.

Subcontractors and third parties

ADR requirements taken into account when carriers and partners are chosen and used.

The same section makes monitoring these practices a standing duty of the consultant — with the ADRplus One subscription this supervision is continuous, not a one-off.

Can they really check without warning?

Yes. ADR 1.8.1.1 lets the competent authorities run spot checks at any time, security measures under 1.10.1.5 included. Under 1.8.1.3 they may also check at your premises — inspect, consult documents and take samples.

What do violations cost?

The national law of each country sets the fines — for a missing safety adviser as well as for violations found in carriage, which also stop the vehicle.

How is this different from the subscription?

The audit is a one-off snapshot with a report. For ADRplus One subscribers the initial audit is included at the start — and the same monitoring runs continuously as a standing duty of your consultant under 1.8.3.3.

How long does it take?

You fill in the form when it suits you. The review and the report take a few working days — the consultant names the exact date when you order.

What do we get in hand?

A written report — findings ranked by risk, each with the exact ADR reference and a realistic fix, plus a re-check of the fixes at the agreed date.
