Special marks

Special marks complement hazard labels where ADR requires a separate marking. The limited quantity mark goes on packages carried under the chapter 3.4 relief (ADR 3.4.7). The environmentally hazardous substance mark is required for goods meeting the criteria of 2.2.9.1.10, except small packagings up to 5 l or 5 kg (5.2.1.8). The lithium battery mark covers cells and batteries prepared under special provisions 188 and 400 (5.2.1.9). Orientation arrows go on combination packagings with inner packagings containing liquids (5.2.1.10).
