Somport Tunnel
ES · N-330 (ES) / RN-134 (FR) · 8.6 km
What this restriction means
This tunnel has no ADR category. The country has not assigned one — dangerous-goods traffic is governed by a national restriction regime instead.
A national restriction regime applies here. Its scope, hours and conditions follow the national decision, not the A–E scale of ADR 1.9.5, so no category letter can be quoted for this tunnel. Please check the source below before planning a route.
Spain does not assign ADR tunnel categories (its 1.9.5 notification is empty). Tunnel regimes are set by resolutions of the DGT, the autonomous communities or municipalities — the exact scope and hours are given in the source below.

The restrictions cover dangerous-goods traffic to the extent and at the times set out in the national document. What may pass, and when, follows from that document, not from an ADR category — see the source below.
Restrictions & provenance
Somport Tunnel Circulation Regulation, Art. 6 (DGT Resolution of 02.09.2010, BOE-A-2010-14183): every dangerous-goods vehicle must stop before entering, hand over the transport document for declaration and undergo inspection. 'Red' group — loads with tunnel restriction code B or C — passes only in escorted convoys (max 5 vehicles) between two operator patrol vehicles with the tunnel closed to other traffic; 'green' group (other dangerous goods) passes after control with hazard lights and 100 m spacing. No ADR tunnel category assigned.
